Design and development of the Demodulating and Encoding Heritage (DEH) mobile navigation service platform for exploring historic pulse and surfing to the future

The objective of this project is to use 3G mobile communicate network, matured GPS technical of telematics, variety Web 2.0 electric map, multimedia and geo-spatial database system, and knowledge engineering technical of information technology, and then combine with abundant history information with culture value and make it more easier to understand for user. To plus GPS live navigation and Web 2.0 Geo Blog information sharing, therefore, people can use this platform to have an interesting cultural life by GPS way.

Project to Demodulate and Encode Heritage

Project Intro

Recently, many countries devoted to preserve the local traditional culture, history and humanistic characteristics, and also use the information techniques as the media to present local characteristics to citizen and foreigners. Due to the entire construction of internet infrastructure and progress of information technology, fading humanistic characteristics could be precious preserved by digital images, videos and articles. Cultural and historical contents preservation on the one hand to educate people to understand their culture and history, on the other hand to raise attraction of tourism industries and to enhance economic development.

This project was sponsored by Ministry of Education (MOE) in Taiwan, and the purpose of this project is to integrate information engineering science and humantic ,social sceince to develop a humantic heritage value-added service.

文史脈流行動導覽服務平台建置計畫-成果發表會

由於台灣必須由IT硬體代工產業逐步走向結合軟硬體和內容的創意應用與服務產業,因而跨領域人才培育與發展的需求逐漸增加,藉由不同領域人才的結合,才能夠激盪出創意應用與服務產業的核心價值。且因為台灣的無線網路建設完整,行動網路使用率逐年增加,軟體與通訊業者亟需找出有價值的行動應用方案。而在台灣文史古蹟研究內容的日漸完臻的同時,自助旅行的風氣盛行和文化保存與推廣的需求之下,「文史脈流行動導覽平台」提供業者一個無線網路創意應用的典範,讓使用者可以在旅行前,旅行過程中和旅遊之後能夠規畫並進行一趟豐富的人文之旅,進而分享旅遊經驗心得。藉此達到跨領域人才教育、發展創新無線應用服務、地方文化特色的保存與推廣和促進學生就業的機會與發展等目的。

我們誠摯的邀請您參加於九十八年十月十六日(星期五)國立台灣科技大學國際大樓IB202會議室舉行的「文史脈流行動導覽服務平台建置計畫」成果發表會。會中將發表計畫團隊於第一年所建置的計畫成果,並以現場攤位實機展示和demo影片來分享操作經驗。
